A technology that allows storing excess electrical energy up to 50 times cheaper than in batteries
This heat storage unit allows excess electrical energy from the grid to be stored as heat at any time, and it is up to 50 times cheaper than storing it in battery storage systems.
It is an entirely eco-friendly device, constructed from standard and readily available materials and technical components (1 crushed stone or ceramic aggregate, 4 standard blowers, 3 heat exchangers, 2 ceramic heating rods, etc.)
The heat accumulated in this way can be used for heating, cooling, and even for generating electrical energy, with the subsequent use of waste heat.
An ideal place for implementation is existing district heating plants, where the necessary existing infrastructure can be utilized, or it can be placed directly in newly built residential areas.
Of course, the accumulated heat can also be used in industry.
Long lifespan with an unlimited number of cycles. The aggregate can be easily restored, as can the technical components.
The high safety of the system is ensured by the materials used—there is no risk of fire, explosion, or leakage of hazardous substances.
High available capacity – to store 1 MWh, 3-5 m³ of aggregate is needed, which is approximately 4 tons of material.
Naturally, the larger the storage capacity, the greater the efficiency of the system.
